Our story
At the heart of Tunis stands Boukornine. A mountain that has dominated the horizon for millennia, silent, unwavering. It is the mountain that gives our house its name.
Our minimalist watches were born from a conviction: Tunisia possesses an aesthetic heritage of extraordinary richness, carried notably by the École de Tunis, a pictorial movement that brought together artists of all origins around a shared ambition: to paint Tunisia from within, free from the orientalist gaze.
Our emblem takes the refined silhouette of Boukornine as it appears in the paintings of Néjib Belkhodja, a leading figure of the École de Tunis, known for capturing the medina with rare elegance. In several of his works, the mountain emerges in the background, distilled to its purest form. That form became ours.
In 1948, Moses Levy, one of the four founders of the École de Tunis, immortalized Boukornine in a landscape of striking beauty. This number, engraved on every dial, preserves the moment our mountain became a work of art.
